Turkish Society Of Pediatric Hematology

Turkish Society of Pediatric Hematology was established in 1999 and aimed to improve the diagnostic tools and therapeutic applications in pediatric hematology centers throughout the country, support research activities and publications in the field, organize scientific meetings, workshops and courses for pediatric hematologists. National Congresses are held annually and 11th Annual National Pediatric Hematology Congress was held successfully in May 2017.  Regular educational courses for pediatric hematology fellows are being held to standardize the pediatric hematology education given at different centers in Turkey.

There are 10 scientific subcommittees working under the umbrella of Turkish Society of Pediatric Hematology, including sub-committees of erythrocyte disorders and hemoglobinopathies; hemostasis/thrombosis/hemophilia; bone marrow failures; hematological malignancies; apheresis/transfusion; febrile neutropenia and supportive treatments; laboratories; histiocytosis; bone marrow transplantation and nutritional anemias.
